Walmart Grocery Pick Up is my saving grace. Being a working mom, it's pretty impossible to find time to roam the grocery store isles for hours looking for one can of diced olives that is no where to be found. After my
son was born, I was trying to find an hour in between feedings and nap time to run to the store and take care of the weekly groceries. It proved to be very difficult, so I took the plunge and finally tried Walmart Grocery Pick Up. It truly is my lifesaver, so I've put together a list of my pros, cons, and tips for using my new favorite
service in case you are interested in trying it as well!
Pro: Convenience.
I can order groceries online while sitting in bed drinking a cup of coffee,
breastfeeding my baby, or let’s get real- at night while I enjoy a
much-needed glass of vino. And then there is the convenience of pick up: I
don’t have to get out of the car, or get my kid out of the car, or worry about
if he will have an explosive diaper in the middle of the store. I pull up to
the designated pick up area, someone else puts my groceries in the car, and we
drive into the sunset.
Con: Substitutions.
Sometimes they are out of an item you ordered and you don’t want what they
substituted. If that’s the case, they will take it off of your purchase order
and remove the item from the bag. Totally OK, unless you really needed that
particular item. Then you may have to actually go into the store or another
store to get that item.
Pro: Produce.
I’m super picky about my produce. I like everything to be as fresh as possible,
and so far, my Walmart shoppers have not disappointed me. They have pick great
lettuce, grapes, apples, spinach, sweet potatoes, and so much more. They seem
to understand the importance of fresh fruits and veggies and I appreciate that!
Con: Alcohol.
You can not add alcohol to your order, at least not in my state. Which is a con
in my book, but also, it's not terrible because I honestly prefer to buy my wine
from other stores … or even better, I can have my husband buy the wine and
bring it home!
Pro: IT'S FREE.
Walmart does this service 100% free of charge! And if you use the code:
WOWFRESH on your first order ($50 minimum), you get $10 off!
If you are busy like me, which I know you are, I would definitely encourage
you to give Walmart Grocery Pick Up a try. It saves you time, it saves you money
because you won’t be adding random items into your cart, and it also saves you
from making those unhealthy impulse purchases! So next time you are dreading going
to the grocery, give it a try, I really think you are going to like it! Let me know if you have any questions!
